can someone help did wives wear a brooch to signify that their husband was serving in

    Hi Guys

Did the wife of an ss man wear a brooch of some sort or badge on their civilian clothes to signify that their husband was serving in the ss?

If so does anyone have a pic to show what it looks like

    Thanks to all who respond

I have seen where some collectors have said some SS wives wore a gold wedding band and I have even seen them shown on dealer sites (I believe Gottlieb had one up a long time ago). Other are adamant that the gold ring has nothing to do with SS ...But even if this specific piece is true, I suspect it would only have been a few who did recieve one as the gold ring must have been a private purchase item. And then also perhaps a costly private purchase ring .
Here is your link that goes into this

He asked what the Gahr book was, and posting a pic of the cover gives its title, authors, and a by-line about the content- how is that not helpful?

The book cover that Thorsten posted was very helpful .................. as well as showing what the Gahr book is, it shows some of the brooches that were asked about in the first post !!!

Post # 2 has a link that on page 4 shows nazi runic rings.. The books states them as being made in Gold, but they could have been made in silver or anything else you wanted to pay for.

Many used the thin type silver runic bands as a wedding band, but nothing official..
