Hi guys-

Need help on this
Here are SS rank tabs I’d like to get some opinions on ,I don't know much of SS tabs, I hope this time I get original tabs

The rank and runes tabs are reproductions. The Handschar is good.

How can you tell on the rank ones? What's the give away? Hope to learn from it for there are so many (blank) rank tabs; what to look for in a good one?

The buckram of the 2 rank tabs and the runic tab are identical and the runic tab is a fake dating from the mid 70's. I also don't like the 3 smaller pips on the rank tab.

Can't comment on the Handschar tab.

Rank & Officer's Tabs

Ian has hit it on the head with the rank tabs and officer's tab. Also, the piping on the officer's tab is bogus.

Thanks for the opinions all these items are from one place.

The background material looks original to me. I did some reasearch on the forum and I found small pips that are the same as mine

, if they are fake then maybe someone put fake pips on original tabs.

In which case original pips were added to fake tabs, because I can assure you that's what they are.
