    kdtr.

I remember that there was quite a discussion concerning these CT's recently, so it might be interesting to post a glimp of a portrait that I own.
Too bad the name isn't entirely visable but hey, 'what else can it say'?

Thank you for posting what is definitely the best view I have seen of this title. Like the others I would be extremely interested in seeing the rest of the portrait.

I am sorry to say to that will have to wait for a while... I received some offers which I simply have to take into consideration and as some of the interested wish to keep the photo private (for now), I'll respect that (for now).

Experience speaks. I thought for a moment he was just a fellow collector on our Forum who wanted to share and learn. Silly me!

                            Derek

It is interesting that the "SELLER" of this picture says it has a blank collar tab. It brings to mind what Derek said before about Staff Dachau people not being allowed to wear Skulls or K's. I think this is what Derek believes brought around the introduction of the large U tab in 1939 for use of Dachau Staff that were not TV.

Derek's post from the other Thread:

                            Dr,
                            Not quite.
The wearing of a "Kdtr Uel Dachau" title was only requested by the commandant and never agreed to by Pohl. The dismissive tone of Pohl's letter to him suggests he was overstepping his mark by requesting it.
From 1935 prior to the wearing of the "k" tab the staff of the Wirtschaftsbetreibe wore a blank collar tab and there was a period of a few months in 1937 when the SS-Uebungslager cuff band was authorised before the 'K' tab was implemented. The photograph probably was taken then.
To further complicate matters in December 1938 Eicke requested that the Uebungslager staff not be allowed to wear the 'k' patch as he wanted it reserved for the men and nco's of the KL commandant. So in 1939 the 'Ue" patch was introduced for the SS-Uebungslager men.
The three elements that wore the 'SS-Ubungslager Dachau' title: the Wirtschaftsbetreibe, the SS-Bekleidungslager Dachau and the Kommandantur SS-Uebungslager were never part of the SS-TV.
If there is a quiz later I hope it's multiple choice.
                            D.
