At first sight, from the photos, the badge looks OK.
However, when you say it's bronze, do you actually mean bronze/brass, or is it bronzed zinc?? It should of course be the latter.
Also, the runes look to be in very good condition compared to the rest of the badge, which has presumably been 'dug up' from the ground, or at least left for a long time in a dark and wet place, given the condition. That could just be the reaction of the zinc part as opposed to the runes, which were in a different metal (tombak bronze) so would react differently.
The photos could be clearer, but I'd give it a cautious

I can tell you the source. It came from a European colleague of mine that aquired it from someone that found it within a wall of a house. Which would be consistant with it being in a dark damp place. Why it was placed there in the first place is anybody's guess. The badge checks out. It's original in everyway.
