    SS Junkerschule silverware

    Hello,

first of all, I do not know if this is the right forum but I thought since it is related to the SS it would fit.
Mods, please move if there is a proper forum for these items.

I talked today to a collector over in Germany.
He said he has a set of SS Junkerschule silverware.
He said it was back in the days a privat purchase and very likely used as a gift.

The front of the silverware has the marking "SS Junkerschule", the backside "Bad Tolz". No maker mark.
He also does not know which material they are made out of.

The set comes in a wooden box with the eagle and the swas on the outside, at the inside is a sticker with the goldsmith informations.

He said he will send me some photos the next few days.

I browsed the internet the last hours and did not find anything close to what he described.
Did anyone has seen something like this?
Is there a way to determine if these items are period made or post war / fakes?

Any kind of response would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Alex

    Silverware

    Hello,
Sounds fishy. There is SS Tolz marked flatware. It did exist. Most is marked with Runics and T only. To my recollection, there is maker mark on the reverse. Can not say who that is however. I do not know.

      Hello Peter,

      thanks for your reply.
      I agree, it sounds fishy.

I found something online which could resemble something like the set in question.

Did you seen something like this before?

      Thanks

      Alex

Not from Tolz, but this is an example of original SS eating utencil markings.

Sometimes I think fakers take drugs to come up with some of the fantasy junk that appears.

Now it's messed with swords and daggers everyone knew were fake 35 years ago surfacing "anew" on dealer sites.

Worst thing is the average dealer knows a fraction of what the SS collectors here know, in militaria as well as historical aspects. They still try to say a "Prinz Eugen" sword was SS .

Rather makes their "Certificate of Authenticity" worth toilet paper, along with any opinion they offer. 1 major blade dealer can't even correctly read an SS unit on a document or engraving. That's pretty bad when several have written books on SS items.

Well, usually dealers want money instead of knowledge which is easy to handle and good for a laugh.

Criminal energy AND brain - that´s dangerous.
