OK.............this isn't SS, but it should be of interest to the skull collectors.

I just picked this up on eBay.

    Here's the maker's label.

Presumably dates from the time when the 17th/21st Lancers were part of the British Army on the Rhine.

I wonder what the 'Fahnen Lamm' firm made between 1933 and 1945 ??

            Robin,

Very nice and of course always of interest to see these great old examples.

Bielefeld is next to Sennelager (the big tank training area) - and has always been a traditional production place for any kind of wool stuff right from the beginning of the industrialization.

These many firms in and around Bielefeld like "Bleyle" as well made for example these - very modern in the Kaiserreich! - sailor suits for adults and especially for children.

Since Sennelager is a very old training area I am sure they all made uniforms and any other belonging military wool stuff since at least 120 years.

Interesting skull! But this not my collecting field.

That means better chances for you in the next auctions with such skulls, Robin!

I learned today that C.E. Juncker also made the metal version of the 17th Lancers skull.

                        Thanks, Thorsten.

The 17th/21st were originally cavalry, then a tank regiment.

Funny how the Brits and Germans both used TKs for cavalry and panzer!
