Can any of the Waffen-SS "Leibstandarte" experts confirm whether or not the Knights Cross holder in this photo is in fact Hans Becker? Also if you know who the other officer is wearing the visor cap on the left that would be great too! The photo was taken during July 1943. Hope someone out there can help answer the question. Thanks.

Not a Leibstandatre expert.
Hans Becker won his Knights Cross in March 1943 (28/03/1943).
It does look like him (especially the jaw line). The KC looks right in the photo but as I'm sure you know, photos preceeding the award were adapted to show the cross in wear.
I'll let others give better knowledge.

The Ritterkreuzträger on the left is in fact Hans Becker while the man on the right is Karl Rettlinger (not Gerald).Comment
