SS marked ShuCo Buttons

Some ShuCo 39 buttons with two different types of SS markings - small intertwined runics, and the infamous runics in a diamond. The SS markings are very indistinct compared to the Shuco marks.

Complete fantasy buttons, or old ShuCo buttons overstamped with phony SS markings?

I have some same as the upper left,,has the SS culture mark on them!

I got them 3 years ago at the SOS. I need a few buttons for a repair. A dealer had 4 or 5 boxes of all kinds of buttons, all still fully wrapped from the period! told him what I wanted, he cut open the wrapping and gave me the buttons and I left... A hr or so later when I started looking at them I see the SS runes. I though he sold me the wrong buttons [I did not want/need SS ] and went back to him. Showed them to him and he said he got therm all very cheaply from a visit from Germany, that he didn't think any are SS and couldn't find me any that I wanted. So, I kept them as an oddity [they were like $5. a button]..

I showed them around and everyone says they are made 100% correctly but don't believe the mark nor that the button is period. They can't explain them but don't like them, nor do I.. I still have them somewhere..

Now I see yours and the bottom button with runes in diamond!
