A mint condition, 3 digit, camp jacket?,,anyone ever see one with pressed paper buttons? ..

Wonder how he attributes it to Mauthausen? ,maybe it has to do with "guaranteed original" and he's holding back a surprise...

Guess it's show the provenance time!

Look more like a hospital suit cloth for wounded soldier.
            Typical german pressed paper button.
HBT material, hook for close the neck.

The one on E stand isn't good. Good condition even though it has a number so it was issued and supposedly worn. Any small amount of research will tell you what the conditions were like in Mauthausen and any camp. It don't really want to get drawn into another long drawn out arguement over a good conditon Kz prisoners tunic. Common sense really.

That being said I would be interested to hear the sellers story on it. I can always admit when I'm wrong!

                  Cheers Adam.

                    Hi to all,

I have an original jacket and trousers, right from the family. Mine is in the same condition. When he was liberated the man had to stay in the camp. There he got a new KZ uniform (the germans left a lot of uniforms in that camp). I even have pics of several man who came back from the camps. They all have KZ uniforms in good condition, some with german trousers...

Being in a good condition does not make it a bad one. I like the cloth and the stamp at the back, mine has it to. But I should take a good pic of mine and compair...

This is an old pic of it:

The man used the jacket during a local remembrance-day in 1945 and had put some brass buttons to have a smarter look.

There is one for sale at Eban right now:
                          http://cgi.ebay.com/German-WW2-COMPL...item255f0b9ac2

Its not in HBT. It is listed at 12,5 K for the complete set with a COA from George Petersen.

That eBay one looks like the typical movie stuff.

                              Prisoner's Uniform

If there are any lice present, they're likely post-war descendents of the original inhabitants. Do NOT kill them. It will ruin originality, and it would be unfair to punish them for the crimes of their ancestors.
