    TK Honor ring...upside down?

    Since there are alot of threads on these, what do you guys "really" think of this one?

    When someone has to go to that extent to explain all of the features of a ring, it's nothing I would spend my money on.

    In other words, sounds like a load of crap to me.

    Just my opinion.

      IMO very soft detail on the S of S Lb, also looks to be a few hesitation marks within the engraving itself.

            Who really thinks The Gahr firm would put a skull on upside down?

             Thats because it a excellent job and not enough to screw up the engraving. Any real profesional then and now could do the same job. It's a resized ring, period,,,and more so than not done postwar..

              You know Gaspare, that Gahr firm did shoddy workmanship like that! Of all the quality items produced, why would they care about an upside down skull. Ron

                To be completely fair, I've seen totenkopfrings where Gahr soldered the skull on the INSIDE of the band! Those are very rare.

                  The "Eckardt" ring's authenticity is highly questionable IMO. And there's ANOTHER 1934 ring floating around out there somewhere with the name "Schindler", that is in that same category.

                    Do you mean "Schwindler"? If so, there are 3 or 4 dozen of them, to date.

                        That's exactly what I was saying, but with a very thick German accent + spelling. ......but only because the originals were made in Germany a.k.a Deutschland during the T.R. period.
