While there is a very nice illustration in Herse's book of the Kinderfries, there seems to be no written explanation of the piece in the accompanying text.
I have looked long and hard for any in-depth information pertaining to ceremonial and ideological back ground for such an iconic cultural piece in (TR era) primary source publications.
However , other than Herse's Children's book, I have found nothing.
Likewise in all (non TR era) secondary sources there is nothing on ceremonial and ideological usage.
While Kris has a decent amount of info on his website that no others seem to have on the Kinderfries, still it does not answer the questions I am looking for.
So let me put to the WAF collecting community: Who knows the answers to my questions on ceremonial use or ideological components or even titles of TR era publications that do?
If one is not comfortable sharing publically feel free to privately email me. If you wish to remain anonymous, I will respect this.
This all being said, I suspect there are no answers to be had, as this is usually the case with my interests.
