    gold ss metal eagle

This was another item I purchased with the salty skull, looks like
a visor eagle to me but I've never seen a gold one and I don't see where
this one had any pins. What is it for?

    thanks

I have one just like it. Came from a vet source. I always thought it might be for a photo album cover decoration...

Like to know what others think.

Prior to them being stolen, I had the flat gold and a flat aluminum SS eagles with no attaching devices on the reverse. I believed they were for some type of album cover.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Here is another one, most of the gold finish is gone. It came in a lot from a vet's relative, but I was never sure about it, good to hear it is original.
                  Regards,

                    Bob,

You had something stolen...and they survived and got away?

Too thin to be a cap eagle IMO--ie no depth to them at the sides, I have seen these from vets too and wondered about their use...

About the no attachment pins, I thought they were just unfinished blanks taken from some factory. I think they might have been silver plated after completed, and then used on photo album covers.

I would think that something like this would still need some sort of pins or prongs to attach it to an album cover. What else would secure it? Glue?
