Traders of the lost surplus did a officers eagle just like this, one of about two dozen you could choose from at his sweatshop in the desert, I was there in the early 2000's, was amazed.

All Carl Sieder reproduction insignias commonly seen in the late 90s til 2003. Scott.....Traders made that Eagle using one I allowed him to scan, it was a Sieder and at the time I was investigating them.

A lot of money for someone to spend with little knowledge of what they are collecting. A sad, but valuable, lesson.

Well hopefully he can get his money back.

Thanks John, didnt realize there was an original version of that, I always thought when I saw it it was a cool looking eagle, Traders had three riker mounts full of bulllion officers eagles. I picked out a common one (which I see a lot on tunics) for a Janke M40 to use as an officers tunic under a smock. I don't know up from down on SS officers tunics or SS bullion insignia so I don't even venture there.

There isnt Scott the one I let him copy was also a Sieder fake..but at the time I was not sure of that and was looking into it. He wanted to produce fake eagles for his stockpile that were close to originals. But what I didnt know then about him is that he would try and sell some of his stuff as real to unsuspecting customers...he had loads of Floch Eks which at the time I thought were real and bought a couple from him as such.

I agree with our friend Tony! If non returnable I suppose You hang a medal bar on the empty loops and display it!!! as 99.9% of the people that see it will not know it's a fake! A very expensive showpeice sadly!
This says it all from BH!

I remember Traders basically said he can do anything one wants, ground up, and even said he had original german officers grade whipcord wool for making tunics available. Whether or not this true, I don't know, I didn't take him up on his offer.
