    Robin,
Your TK bullion patch you have show here, is like none I have ever seen.
It just as I said before a TK you will not forget and looks like no other bullion TK.You said you have had it a few years. Some questions for Robin, 1.Have you seen any others like it? 2.Also where did it turn up?
Many collectors of TK items have seen this thread, have you any information to add in Ref: to this Bullion TK Robin has picture here??

      John.

To answer your questions as best I can:

      1. Yes. I've seen many others like it - in wartime photos. Just look at any of the text books with good photos of Totenkopf officers and NCOs and you'll see plenty of bullion totenkopf patches in this style being worn. Keep in mind that very many of the patches you see displayed on the web are not necessarily the real thing. Period photos do not lie - at least the ones that haven't been 'retouched'!

      2. I obtained this set at the MAX back in 1999. Obtaining this pair of patches alone made the trip (from Scotland, remember) worthwhile. You very seldom come across a matched set of SS-Totenkopf patches. To get a set for the rank of Sturmscharfuhrer is very rare indeed.

      Regards,

      Robin.

                          Hee hee!

I've learned a lot since I posted some of these tabs back in 2004.

Main thing..................trip to the Max in 1999 was a waste of time!

A studio shot of Strangeloves. Just noticed the similarity in these two.
