The patches on that blanket are not all WW2 era. The Special Forces Sleeve insignia did not come out until the late 50's. Also on that blanket, there is a 2nd Field Force Vietnam patch, an 18th MP patch, a 20th Engineer Brigade patch and a Missile control patch which are all post-WW2 sleeve insignia. In fact, the more I look at the blanket the more post war patches I find.
I cannot comment about the era of the sleeve insignia is question, but that blanket was certainly put together long after WW2 ended.Last edited by ETN; 10-28-2010, 01:57 PM.

As stated in the other thread i don't believe this patch is of ww2 Flemish origin. It can be Flemish, French or even German. For example, check out this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=457503 and see the German Bundeswehr uniform patch on the 3rd uniform...
