    This new policy sucks!

Here is another POS fake on the estand that someone might buy as original, because we are no longer alowed to post a reply within the sales thread, warning potential buyers that the item is not original.

    What a stupid policy!

    Agreed.
I can see the need for eliminating chatter, bickering & unwarranted comments in sales threads, but to do that at the cost of eliminating all possibilities to question dodgy items within a thread seems to me a step in the wrong direction.
It is said "You can always start a discussion thread whenever you like", but with the relatively high post count of this forum, its likely most potential buyers won't see it, and will remain blissfully unaware that there might be a problem - Especially since many items tend to sell quickly.

I agree Brad, there should at least be a red flag and a link on the sales thread if a discussion topic has been started in a specialist forum.

First of all The forum policy of editing and posting in both the e-stand and discussion forums is not and will not be up for debate

          Forum Rules and Regulations

All you have to do is start a thread about the item/items and alert the e-stand mod on that table so they can post a link within the sales thread.

If the item gets marked hold/sold while this is going on the seller will be asked (TOLD) to provide the buyer details, failure to do that will result in the sellers e-stand privileges being removed permanently

I have a feeling that under the old system, a complete POS like this would not have lasted two weeks on the estand (tempting novice buyers) without some more experienced collector stepping in to call it what it is!

WHy the hell are you whining?!? The item got pulled/removed. This new system works, if you have the brains to start a thread about bad items. If we stuck with the old one, sellers would be stuck with ignorant and annoying comments.(like mine)

"Told?" Sorry, but I, like everyone else, am free to choose how I respond (if at all) when I see someone selling a fake as original. In this case, I chose to not waste additional time and effort to follow an [unnecessarily] more complicated new process, which deliberately made it harder and slower for members to stop people from selling crap. Instead, I just posted my observation here.

Apparently, others didn't even do that much, because for over two weeks that fake (which I am sure dozens already spotted as an obvious fake) has been sitting there for sale with no one able to figure out how, under the new "process," to report it or unwilling to go out of their way to put forth extra effort, which is now necessary, to prevent someone from buying it as real.

I was at least willing to bring it up and, as a reward for my good deed, I am berated for not following "instructions." Bizarre.

No, the system doesn't work. That is why that obvious fake has been sitting there for sale for two weeks! Under the old system, someone would have pointed it out right away. Now, because it has been made more difficult, no one is willing to take the extra time and effort to follow the more complicated process of reporting a fake and, instead, they all just say, "buyer beware."

If people make "ignorant and annoying comments" in people's estand threads, that problem should be dealt wih directly by giving them a warning or by banning them from the forum for a rules infraction. However, rather than doing that, a simpler "solution" was put in pace, which has created a bigger problem for this forum in the way of a loss in the credibility the estand, which had been enjoyed through its simple self-policing ability.

If I see something suspicious, I just send a PM to the Moderator. In every case, the matter has been dealt with promptly.

Apparantly, I never saw the object of this thread, but I don't peruse the E-stand that often.

                          Bye!

For years we have allowed people to post on threads. We had all types of well-intentioned "don't know what they don't know" members post on sales threads claiming something was a fake (or overpriced, too mint , too worn, too expensive, too cheap, "wish I could afford it but I can't") resulting in long discussions on the items threads with no respect shown to the seller (who have rights as well).

We, the admistration based on knowing what really goes on, decided if someone felt strongly something was fake they should start a thread in the appropriate manner as was explained numerous times in the past. It has been working, and since we field the complaints behind the scenes, we tend to know what is going on.

                          Something else to consider:
