Insignia & Buckle - Opinions, Please?

    Hi Team,
These belong to a friend who's had them since the early 1970's....opinions are welcome. I have my own thoughts but this is not my area of knowledge.
    First off, the buckle.

Hi Mark, I can only comment on the first skull and it is an original.

          All the best,

2 skulls look fine, the trap is a fake ... note the lack of black weld surround.

                  Hello Mark,

the buckle is a well known repro probably made in Austria around '90.

                    Hi Ric,
Just getting back with this new image as the first was a bit 'soft'. I don't know if this has any bearing but this buckle was bought in 1976. This is definite and not an approximation. Does that help?
                    Cheers!
                    Mark.

....so no opinions with a better image and actual aquisition date?
Not looking to push anything up-hill, but it isn't a 1990's manufactured piece, so if anyone has any theories then please PM me if not willing to post here?
                      Regards,
                      Mark

                        Mark,

as said buckle is a well known repro : catch and prongs shape are the main give away, in addition such die is not period.

My info reports it to '90, but I could be wrong

                        Best

                          Thanks Ric,
I do appreciate the input. It seems we can now say that this reproduction buckle was on the market from at least 1975....
                          Many Thanks,
                          Mark
