Ok the burn test results are in!

The material which the eagle is stiched on: Burns very fast and no smell of polyester or any plastic

The silver thread material: Lights up and burns a bit slower but the whole thread ignits, no smell of any plastic or polyester ont his one either.

actually i have seen this eagle before the better pictures helped as the body of the eagle in the first picture you posted made it look somewhat narrower than it is, this same eagle is also in the back of cloth insignia of the ss in the forum of an officers type, so there are slight variations,

OK..I will be the first to jump in on this one..I don't like this eagle at all..especially for it being a proofpiece. For a mint unworn piece it looks a bit soft and shody to me...don't like the breast feathers nor the wings..they are not even..the left hand side of the wings are lower than the right hand side. even at the angle the photo was taken it is easy to see that it is off. Not for me.

the eagle is 101% original ,but as you already know this tropical birds are not so rare
I really can,t give comment on the tag I really never saw this one before
As already said most of the time these birds cam just with a paper-tag on the back-side
