          Hi,

as previously discussed there, the Charlemagne units (Galicia 1944, Germany 1944-1945, Pomerania 1945, south retreat 1945, Berlin 1945) didn't had any special collar tabs or emblem. Only the armband "Charlemagne" is confirmed.
General Krukenberg never talked of that to all the veterans and historians after the war. And be sure he was the guy for such questions...

              latvian nco firecross collar tabs

About 15-20 years ago a friend of mine came over with an old footlockerthat he found in aloft
Of a home he purchased for renting out in the northeast. knowing that I am a wwii buff he brought it over. In it were old dogtags, uniforms, gaitors, etc, also an inscribed Japanese cigarette,
And a swastika collar tab. After some long time research I found out it was an original SS Latvian
NCO collar tab......... It has a black background with a silver threaded swastika. The reverse
Unfortunately is sewn into a brown background with no rzms. Any idea on it's worth?

              Thanks,

              Peto

Kudos to Dave from the UK!
Thanks a bunch for your patience and assistance with getting my tabs posted and
Sharing your knowledge and insight regarding the aforementioned collar tab to a
                  "Newbie" such as myself.

My only regret is that I did not become aware of this site earlier on.

                  Again, thank you David....
