Gold skull, uncut with vertical pins

    Hi guys,

I've "searched" out a few others similar but not the same. Is this a bad copy of an early 1934 era skull or a repo? I haven't yet been able to find any others with this color or vertical pins.

    Regards,
    Stu

I can see where that made more sense to me when I wrote it. I think it's a reproduction. Just not sure if it's a repro of some early 34 era skulls I've seen pictures of or a repro of some other skull. Hopefully I understood the nature of your reply and have now made it clear.

Of course if it's not a repro that would be even better.

      Regards,
      Stu

I wonder why someone chose to add the silly gold finish.

Here is a discussion of the "closed eye" style:

Here is one with a similar pin style:

Did Sepp Dietrich have a gold one?

Bwanek1, thanks for the links. When searching I wasn't aware of the term closed eye so didn't check that in the search feature. I'll study those threads this evening.

Looks like it was anodized recently.
