Like I said, I don't know much about SS but this setup sure looked convincing.

I am not an expert, BUT this button shows many flaws in the rear and appears cast. Originals are three pieces: a loop shank, a disk and the aluminum skull wrapped around that. This one appears cast as one piece from an original three-piece button.

I agree with Chris's comments, this is a copy of a copy, see the side cap thread to see the same type fake but better quality,
