Hi,
Originally posted by Capt. R View PostI would disagree and say that they are not easy to find. The last one (44-45) is very difficult to find. I only know of 2 in collections. Does anyone have the 1944-45.
All my collecting friends have this one.
Originally posted by Capt. R View PostAnd I have never seen the 1941 edition that you mention that I can remember. What is on the cover? Do you have one?.
Those were already posted on the WAF in the past.
Included below the "correct" edition.
Originally posted by Capt. R View PostAt the flea market anything is possible and at bottom-feeder prices, sure. But, when you want one, where are they? Sometimes in antiquarian bookstores but after looking for them for years, I have observed that they are not easy to locate and do not sell cheaply from dealers. They were meant for short use and most likely discarded.
I bought probably twice more for friends since 2010.
You can find around 10 Xmas books listed currently on the net.
Dozen are proposed on auctions each year.
See You

Hi,
SS Xmas books, with the exception of the 1941 edition, were printed to dozen of thousand of copies, if not hundred of thousand of copies... Like i said, variations (!) exist amongst them.
I stopped keeping an eye on them, no matter the year... From time to time i'm still proposed some by contacts.
All the 44-45 books i have were bought in 2011. Since then many were proposed on the net for sale, auctions and stores.
There will be always idiots proposing common SS publications for ridiculous prices on the net. They are waiting someone dumber than them, hoping that they will sell those publications for a lot of money. Some sellers are trying to keep the prices high, but in 10 or 20 years, they will be dead with their stock buried with them. A good seller sells. And many forget that. Stock don't get you money.
Some additional pics of the 1941 "correct" edition. A lot would have to be written about those issues and their sources... Maybe later... or on a book.
See You
