The biggest is Don saying the ring is good but it doesn't have the flaws! Doesn't that bother anyone??

G, What is your take on this ? Why would Boyle give a good certificate and then state that it was missing at least 2 important die features of a proper Gahr SSTK? Have you asked him that question ? Thanks, JR

JR.: Did you already forgot your own statement?

"I have no idea nor true desire to search out the manufacturing process of the Gahr produce SSTK's."

So I think your question gets right back to you:

JR.: What is Your take on this?

            ;-))

TB, I ask nothing about manufacturing............. you can answer that one if you wish, as it seems to bother you.

I've never debated the loss wax, die cast, die stamped or any other manufacturing process, as I have no idea nor have I researched it. My discussion is on the Klohn ring/ box/ and certificate.

Since I don´t own an Ehrenring it does not bother me at all.

But there is indeed something to bother about:

You´re gonna need a bigger boat.

Perhaps...................... But you're definitely going to need a bigger closet.

Nice to see that you are desperately in need of distraction.

Studies relating to depth psychology came to this conclusion:

You feel guilty of something, don´t you?

And now - as an act of compensation - you try to find something that let me look bad and weak instead of you.

                      Now listen:

                      My case is closed.

What about you...and the Frank ring?! And this ring??

                      And Your take on this??

JR,, many collectors around think I'm one of Dons 'guys'.. I had this posted but it got deleted somehow.. Read the beginning and you'll see how my relationship with him has been going:
"Gaspare : Getting ready for the Max Show . Hope to see you there and
what ever differences we had in the past or said is water over the dam
so to speak. Stop at my table just to talk. I was thinking about the
Klohn Ring and box that was sent to me and the truth of the matter is
the ring box I held in my hand and in front of two other collectors
Definitly is NOT the one that has been posted on several forums. These
two collectors have seen what has been posted and contacted me to let me
know that is not the box that was shown to them or that I had sent to me
with the ring. Please feel free to post this on any forum as in my
pofessional opinion this is the truth and I stand by it."

He states its not the same box,,,and I believe him mainly because I believe the other collector that was there unequivocally!...

Years ago we were both mods on the Honor ring forum together for a while,,,and everything we ever heard there from Don was - late pattern HRs have the following dies flaws here and there.. They didn't have them, they weren't good right!? And that is correct.

My good buddy Andy has had more rings than even your buddy Craig has ever had, and his collection now is probably the biggest in the world. Vinny, John P. and others with large collections will all say the same - their late patern HRs all have the same die flaws!

I've asked Don,,and so have others. As his usual he doesn't get back to anyone and eventually when he does it will be something unrelated. I gave up, don't really care anyway..
For me if they don't have the flaws they are fake period!
And, even though your Frank ring and this one do display them I really don't not like either, no matter who says they are good.
                              - So the mystery remains,,why it could be good and not have the flaws.

I would recomend any beginning collector who wants a late pattern HR to stick with one from an old collection, one that matchs all the old info on them perfectly,,no variations, no bull**** stories..
Good luck guys and happy hunting....,G.

These are the original ring box pictures provided by Robert. The box appears to have undergone some repair work.
