M44 Pants

Hello,
I have a question about these M44 trousers in Italian gabardine. I know the general consensus is that these could be either heer or SS, but since they are marked to the Ravensbruck camp, I would assume that this would make them SS. What would your opinions be?

BTW, I have no worries about originality, as I was there when they were found in the attic of an old house.

nice threads, what's up with the blue patch? is that a repair of sorts?

Looks like they were resized and the blue material applied to replace the lining where it had been cut. Very nice rare trousers

It looks like someone needed to expand the waist, so they cut it and used matching Italian cloth material on the outer part and this blue material for the inner waistband.

These 2 strips of matching cloth used for widening the back , may very well have come from the bottom of the legs - doesn't it look a little short .. ?

Thanks for the comments so far. You may be right about the material coming from the bottom of the legs; the pants do look a little short though I haven't had the time to measure the inseam to see how it compares to the size stampings.
