Both are reproductions. Piping is incorrect. Runes thread is also bad. Litzen on the rank tab appears to be wrong also. Use the links to Fake Thread and Links of Interest at the beginning of this forum. Then go to the Fake Uniform Insignia link. Spend a lot of time there. Also use the search feature.

I have looked in Uniforms of the SS, Andrew Mollo, seems to be correct from 1934 until 1942???

If you will go to the Fake Insignia section and take the time to look at the posts which contain alternating piping you will see quite readily what is wrong with the piping. That is if you take the time. Same thing with the litzen, if you use the "SEARCH" function.

It as Winkleman pointed out...all this stuff is identically aged...you tie them to the dogs tail for 3 or 4 days, let them get drug through everything imaginable and Ta Da...PARAPHERNALIAWORLD new merchandise...time to load it on ebay.
