Appears to be silk screened on paper...a very attractive piece if it is for sure original. All I can tell is its genuine silk screened. Needs some paper conservation, if that is not like restoring a tunic to paper collectors.

                Agreed, silk screened original.
There is another original version that is much more esthetically pleasing, IMHO, I think it is done in lithography. In that one the soldiers eyes are not so disconcerting and badly done by artist.

You were probably just asking about authenticity, but you got a little more. If it were me shopping, I'd wait for the lithographic version to come along....but as in all art, "bueauty is in the eyes of the beholder". Good luck.
                Regards,

                Jp

I think the eyes are consistent in appearance with the rest of piece.
                    A very nice rendering.

???....It's an SS recruiting poster, not art you would hang in your living room to match your decor! Well, at least I wouldn't. But your right, I can't believe that artist did such a shabby job painting those mean horrible cold eyes on an SS soldier. Ruins the whole thing. Forget it's historical significance, it's obviously not important enough to be collected, not a poster like that. These are in abundance so yep, I'd wait, there should be a bunch offered in a couple days.

                      Good luck,

sir, you should get it mounted with heavy archival paper backing, it will basically reinforce the old poster paper and add to the value. Just an idea...

Whoa Nellie!!! No need to get your knickers in a sarcasm knot!
I was just stating that there is another version(also original) available that is to me much more esthetically pleasing, and without appearing to have crooked-eyes. That's all.
I apologize that I find the silkscreen version inferior. Here is the litho version. ........actually, this one is not currently available, it has been sold. That being said, if the price is right then the silkscreen one would be a great addition to any collection.
