    Described as SS tabs???

These are described as SS tabs but the seller was not sure... I doubt that they're even original.... looking at the pips.
The backings are regular buckram material...

    Questions:
were pips like this made in the war? or only the regular prong types...
I know late war LW rank gulls and metal cap eagles sometimes came like this...
and what about the cypher, does that have a chance?
    NSKK letter perhaps?
    What organisation?

Nick, Also, don't forget the late war 3 prong Assman skull. Regarding the tabs, they appear to be creations. The pips and #2 cypher are probably real.

Took a gamble on these at $42 bucks for the set....
If these "late war" pips are legit perhaps worth the gamble?
When they arrive I'll post better images including the back...

                  Back to the pips topic!
Now if such pips with the outer edge prongs are considered late war 44/45 period
and often encountered with Dachau Depot souvenirs,
than why do these appear on this (an undocumented pattern) female (Heer?)uniform dated 1943?
Gerard posted this back in 2005 btw...
So these are not necessarily late war SS pattern pips?
                  Anybody?
