eagle from the SS gorget, if good, a hard to get item. Very detailed done.

Any comments?

I would say that the gorget eagle is a reproduction, the wreath alone is very low in detail(ribbon in particular) also look at the toes of the eagle.

I wonder if anyone has ever taken an original apart , but wouldn't there be an RZM-marking on the reverse ?
Even when invisible after assembly - e.g. cape-hook eagles do ..

What's it made of?
Looks like aluminium or maybe zinc.

I´m not an material expert.

What I can figure out:
-too heavy for aluminum,
-for sure not zink.

But which else? I dont know

IMO It is a reproduction. The eagles body is too round in shape,an original is straighter on the sides.
