    TK Ring basic questions??

    Hi guys,

My first stroll down the TK lane... And I'm scared to death..

I ran an ad in the local paper and got a response from a fellow who did a lot of business with older clients. He is a bit of a history nut and over the years the clients would give him things like helmets, daggers, medals ect.

One of them gave him a TK honor ring that he MAY sell to me.

I will go see it today but I have some basics.

I asked him to tell me over the phone what it says.. He told me that his eyes aren't that great but this is what he told me.

    P16 WORENZ 30.08.40 H. Himmler

if he can even read the letters and numbers right.??

I told him to get it weighed and came back from the jeweler and said it weighs 9 grams.

Is that in the ballpark for weight with known originals?

Was there a WORENZ in the SS and was awarded a ring on 30.08.40?

I'm going to go in with the thoughts it’s a good repro and make an offer on that idea.

    thanks for any help.

    Ill post pics tonight.

That date is not correct. 0 were not used, example 7. 03. 36 would be written 7.3.36.Certain dates were used.I would still go see it and get some pictures to post here. With TK rings one red flag is too many.

I agree, don't waste your time on this ring as stated on another forum that you posted the same info about the ring.

The inscribed date being wrong raises red flags. Weight is not an accurate measure and we do not know if its a minty or very worn ring.
I'd suggest you would be better off by paying a bit more from a respected dealer or member. Gaspare has one up for sale.

          Good luck.
