Beautiful 13th SS 'Handschar' Officer Soldbuch Photo...

I have already posted this in the Wehrpass / Soldbuch section, but thought I would post it here also.

A good friend of mine just obtained this wonderful Soldbuch photo of an SS Officer from the 13th SS 'Handschar' and ask me to post it for him here. As I'm away from my reference material at the moment, if anyone could positively identify this 'Handschar' Officer it would be appreciated.

Great image! The Handschar tab looks like an enlisted pattern (not bullion) with added silver officers piping! Nice!
The lieutenant's shoulderstraps appear to lack secundary black SS piping so Wehrmacht-Heer boards used here.
And based on how close the buttons are positioned this might even be a 6 button Heer (enlisted pattern) M42 tunic,
recycled for SS use!

I can check tonight! I have the book. He could be in it!
The other image shows an earlier M36 tunic with green collar. Could be the same officer!

Agreed - the tunics shown in these two photos differ in many ways - clearly this Officer was issued (or privately purchased) more then one tunic over time (that said, note the exact same ribbon bar on both tunics).

I do believe it's unquestionably the same fellow just by his facial features alone...

Well I went through the entire book and the only possible match
is this officer...(also a 1st lieutenant)
