I found this cap eagle for sale. Can you tell from these pictures if it ia genuine or not?

Can you provide a better scan of the back?

Collecting these kind of eagles is another minefield. If you can obtain a better one with more crisp detailing, i'd suggest you might want to pass on this.

Yours is an unmarked variant, possibly late war.
Note that in some instances the markings may be on the underside of the prongs itself.

As far as I can tell most genuine pieces have brass prongs soldered onto them, although not necessarily so.
If i had the choice, i'd probably pass on this piece and opt for one with a crisp detailing.
