    Stickpin A:

Im not familiar with the maker mark and the length of pin seems to raise some red flags although there is some knurling.
What do you think of it?

Can't comment on the badge in question, but I have information on metal content. Early badges were
produced in high quality solid silver. The metal composition changed to silver/nickel in late 1934 and
heavy concentrated nickel alloy in 1937. Normally the badge will exhibit a wide outer band and a narrower inner band.

          Thank you David.
So i suppose the late 37 variants were no longer stamped with Silber?

            Eujin,

Originals where either Hofstatter or Gahr marked.

(There is enough said about the SS Pin in past threads to just do a
Search and read the "skinny" rather than write BS)

Eujin, only the Gahr pins were made in .900 silver.

                            They are incorrect.
This pin is trying to say its by JFS.A well known SS fake maker name for these items.Sometimes found with a buttonhole mount.
As said, only two makers.Hoffstatter Bonn, and Gahr in silver only.

                              Hi Seiler,

the maker mark was not clear from the photos and as I was unsure, i decided to post photos.
Now that you and the others have clarified, this pin is bad.

                              Thanks for your kind input.
