    LAH leather case?!

    Hi!

    I need some help

What do you believe this is?! It looks like a cigarette case to me but I´m not sure! And looks the LAH monogram genuine to you?

    Regards,
    Roger

I have never seen a LAH monogram like that, isent it more likely that its a "Hamburg - America Line" (HAL) monogram?

        Hi

I've had several "Hamburg Amerika" cap talleys, stick pins, post cards, and odd pc. of china, etc. and they all show the company logo as being a shield with anchor & company letters H.A.P.A.G. (Their Steamship Flag emblem)...."never" just the H.A.L., and I don't believe the Leibstandarte could have used a previously registered Logo?!

        Regards,
        Roger

For what it's worth, the two things aren't together since the "beginning".

          Cheers

This is a logo of the HPAG liners! I dont know why this logo is mixed up with the LAH monogram?! They are completely different!

As an outsider I am just throwing in something for you guys to discuss and consider. Note the difference in the design of the letters themselves...the L has a series of dots within its border whereas the A and the H both half horizontal lines. That would indicate to me at least that the two initials AH go together and the L is separate, like Leibstandarte "Adolf Hitler". Any thoughts?

                      Cheers,

Roger, I don't want to be rude but so far you have posted 24 items for review. Only 4 have received positive comments. Thats not a very good percentage. If your new to this game just admit it, say something like....folks I am really crap at this please help.

By all means show items here for help from the other forum members, however I (and I assume many other members) begin to groan when I see a post with your name attached to it. Please please please, do some research first.

It is a genuine early pre War LAH Shoulder Board Cypher. (see the Book "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Volume I by Stan Cook and James R. Bender, Bender Publishing, Page 267-269.)

                            Regards
