Search Polizei Oberfuhrer

I´m looking for information about a Polizei Oberfuhrer, but I don´t have any source of search, can you guys please tell me some way to find out some info about this matter?? Like web sites with names....i don´t know....

Oberführer is an SS rank, not a Polizei rank.

I am confused:

Are you asking about the RANK, or about an officer whose name you know who was supposed to be this rank?

If you have a name, tell us.

I have a lot of information on senior SS officers from the SS Seniority Lists etc.

im asking about the name of the soldier or just any informatin about him, i know that the Oberfuhrer is an SS rank but the ring is from the 4SS-Pol.Pnz.Gre

The only information that i have about this soldier are the following:

He fought in Metz (he was transfered from units because the 4SS didn´t fought at Metz)
He was an Oberfuhrer
His first or last name was WOLF(because in the ring that i have the name WOLF is written)

http://www.geocities.com/~orion47/ is THE best site around for this sort of research...I've just quickly gone through all those who ended the war with the rank of Oberfuhrer and no dice but there may be one who was later promoted...it would have to be pretty late though.What I CAN find though is :-

...now you're not mistaking the abbreviation Ostuf (or SS-Obersturmfuhrer) for SS-Oberfuhrer now are you ??
