SD couple

a couple of SD men of my collection. Note the unusual sleeve rank chevron on the SD ex Gestapo man.

My first thought was it was the same man also Stephano! Further inspection shows they are not the same! Photo #1 man is sure proud of the newly awarded KVK W/Swords! Very nice photos! I appreciate Your shareing with us!

So how can that be explained? So in the left image with first pattern side cap he is an SD member and in the second later image (now with M43 cap)
he is an ex SD member?

Nick they are different men.Also check teh SS porteppe on teh bayonet knife.

Nice explanation Nick! I do agree the photos are of different men, Looking at the ears alone one can see a difference and the man on the right has a pretty big W.C. Fields type nose LOL!

OK that explains the raute than..different men... Also the lack of medals in the later picture (M43 cap) would than lead to that conclusion... the glasses through me off... Great images...Thanks for sharing!
