    Chance to buy this SS schiffen.

    Hello all, I've been given the opportunuty to purchase this SS schiffen stripped of it's insignia. Can any of you learned members give some feedback on this?

                      Since a question or two has been raised UNLESS the price is amazing..SOMETIMES the rule of when in doubt do without comes into play... Billbert

                      the cut of the cap is a but generic KM ish BUT I d have to see another example or two by this maker to say more.. the last word is Menner.. Billbert

                            It doesn't look like KM to me. Compare to KM caps, IMO they are different in various aspects.

                              Without originally applied insignia - it can be anything now - absolutely and seriously: SS, KM, costal artillery, paramiliatary, some women organisation, Heer, firemen, who knows what!, etc, etc. they all wear similar and sometimes even identical caps. I studied overseas caps in period SS pictures for a while and I see that there was no "one" pattern - in fact SS overseas caps vary from image to image - litteraly
