but embroidered differently for some reason and no full border...(trimmed?)

Otherwise they would look like this: (standard Dachau pattern...these are bullet proof, below images!)

I also think it is an original. There are some variations of the more common seen so called Dacahu patterns. Some times these are true variations and sometimes faults in the manufacturing process.

Could it be uniformed removed? That would perhaps explain the cut down borders.
