    Bad bird?

This is on a dealer's site. Is this a pigeon head fake? It looks bad to me, but I would welcome confirmation.

      Thought so. Okay, next question:

Why is this on a dealer's site on a hat selling for over $8K? I'm a long way from even pretending I have any expertise and it caught my novice's eye.

The dealer, whoever he is, is not an expert on SS cap eagles. It's very easy to find those people. He is obviously proudly displaying the eagle and has "no clue". That aside, if the hat looks goods and you like it, but it and replace the eagle.

It's still there. You may not have been signed in.

Why is anything tolerated at all in the community? If an individual tried to sell this on E-stand, he would be hammered.

Is there a list of dealers known to sell fake items? With the dollar amounts involved, this is actually prosecutable.

Should we make an attempt as collectors to crack down on fake fraud and involve law enforcement?

EDIT: I am making no specific allegations. Only asking questions.
