    SS officer sidecap

    IMO the sidecap is very nice but I would also others opinions.
    Unfortunatly in my pictures is not visible the patina,the cap is made in fine trikot.

                Looks like a nice, quality cap and some of the patina does show in your photographs. Is the soutache loose where it curves out...or is it sewn like that?

                  thank you for your comment,for reply to your question,the soutache is loose because is hand stitched and in that point the thread is brocken.

                      looks good. any sign of insignia attachment?
                      Sometimes the soutache was only connected at the 3 corners of the triangle,
                      with the shape occasionally dangling over the Totenkopf.

                        just a thought, what do you guys say about this stitching ? looks a bit odd..maybe im wrong but just my 2 cents...

                          The cap looks original in all respects. It could also be a police field cap, based on it's color.

                            i quote the opinion above. Nothing wrong, only the "Y" a bit higher than usual but all materials, piping and building method are textbook.

                              I like it, and I am agree with Robert could be also a police sidecap, any evidence of previous insignia Bonneville?
