Wijtman, It appears the He has bailed out of this burning Panzer of a discussion thread! I do hope He can get his money back on this purchase!
I hate to see fellow collectors being robbed!
Perhaps He will post his next purchase before money exchanges hands? We all must admit there are some decent fakes out there!

Ive seen the M42 tunic in use in Handschar. The M43 was standard out of training, and starting in early 1944, the M44 dot was issued out in some numbers (especially to new units such as Kama)

however I have not seen a single M44 tunic in photographs

I dont think Gebirgsjagers even liked the M44's design

There is a famous photograph which is pictured in Volume 2 of the Mike Beaver's books on page 417 which depict an SS Gebrijager wearing an M44 tunic. Also there has been a few photos posted here on the forum of Latvian SS volunteers not only wearing the M44 tunic but also wearing a Dacahu pattern volunteer Latvian tab on the M44. I am also sure that there are more photos out there depicting M44s being worn by Waffen SS men, it would be nice if some members posted some images here. There were certainly plenty of M44s being worn by SS men, very late in the war, in fact too late for official propoganda photos to have been taken, which is why there is not a ton of photos out there, but I am sure there are plenty of studio photos of individuals plus private snapshots out there depiting SS wearing M44 field combat tunics.
