    SS Werpass-Soldbuch info..

I need a bit of help to settle an argument....

Can anyone with SS documents take a look and list what "their guys" have entered as their religion? If possible mentioning if they are Bavarian or not (or just place of Birth)

    Thanks
    Chris

I forgot to mention... at the same time, do you have any where NO religion is entered?

I believe Obersturmfuhrer der SS Pio Filippani Ronconi of the Italian SS had Heide/Paganism in his soldbuch

Although not a German his SS solbuch was in German/Italian

Here is a small bio on him. I believe he passed away last year after giving an interview for Italian TV .

        Taken from Axis History Forum

Born in Madrid, Spain on 10.3.1920; son of Conte Fulvio Filippani-Ronconi and Anita Tamagno.
He has been in recent years a professor of Religons and Philosophies of India at the Oriental University in Naples and professor in Theology and Islamic Sciences, Tehrean, Iran.
Prof. Ronconi speaks eight different languages fluently, wich played a major role in his military career. Before joining the Waffen-SS, Ronconi was a member of Special German-Italian-Arab secret service task force in North Africa that specialized in getting informations behind enemy lines. After joining Waffen-SS in 1943, served with 1st Company of II./Waffen-Grenadier Battalion 81 on the Anzio and Nettuno front where he was badly wounded in the head.
Afterwards he was assigned to the staff of the Inspectorate of the Italian Waffen-SS, serving as a translator between Generalmajor Manelli, SS-Oberfuhrer Tschimpke and SS-Gruppenfuhrer Debes (Waffen-SS C-in-C for Italy). He was promoted SS-Obersturmfuhrer on 21.6.1944.
Decorated with EKII on 19.4.1944 and Verwundetenabzeichen on 14.4.1944.

Former "evangelisch" SS-Ogruf. Friedrich Wilhelm Krüger had "Deutschgläubig".

            Korrekt Dennis.
Ronconi, dead a couple of months ago, had Heide\Pagan on his German\Italian SS Soldbuch.
Many Italians enlisted into WSS while serving in Italy had German\Italian soldbuecher (I saw a couple of examples related to the 24.WSS Division)
