I already seen the same. I had a sense it was stain on glue or something - it's like a piece of iron. Interesting - from where they are coming to the market ?

        Not sure where......Dachau??

Any way they are "wafer" thin and it appears someone had glued them to a piece of paper or something.

        Any opinions out there??

Dachau ? They had a saboteur there who glued these patches. It's impossible to sew this patch to the collar - You will break a needle !

I posted exactly the same patch here recently - the opinions were good. But I have a bad sense about this tab. Just my opinion.

            Marty,
have you done a burn test on any of the threads? remember that the fake BeVo insignia also comes with a rank patch but the woven ribbed area is somewhat smaller, but the very early fake BeVo patches do not melt but its worth checking
            cheers,
            Gary

              Gary,
Extracted a thread of material from the back and did a burn test, which did not melt the thread (was consumed rather quikly with nothing left) so it appears to not be synthetic. which now just leaves the construction of it. It is built very "thin" which I think is a positive.

              Thanks

              Marty
