It's a Deschler shape. It certainly has some interesting extra marks on it, is it supposed to be silver or something ?

        Hi Ian.

It has not been taken of the visor so I do not know if it is silver stamped?
You can see some white stuff from silver polish.

Ah I see, it's the silver polish I can see in the eye sockets ... I thought it was flash .... like from a mould. The shine on it looks like the fake silver ones that are around and about.

          Why polish it ?

          Ian.

I agree with Ian, we would need to see more of this one before you could say 100% thumbs up or down.. It does look like the fake "900" marked silver TK'S.. Lets see the back..

Note te details, like the sutures, nose-opening. This one is not the silver copy.

If it was not off the cap, how did it get polished without getting white polishing cream on the black velvet/fabric?
..........unless of course the answer is; "very carefully".
...but then whoever did that has much more guts than me

p.s......yah, yah! like John Mack said, like John Mack said!

I would Never take a skull or eagle off of a visor if it has been there for 60 plus years , it is a cupal m 1/52 deschler , these are so easy to recognize after seeing so many with the same details . can we see it with the eagle ?

                            Hi.

I have not the guts to take of the skull from the visor.
If one pin would broke of I would never forgive myself.
For me it seems the skull has been on the visor all the time. But you never know it could have been of when polishing?

So it is an original cupal m 1/52 Deschler then

I will soon post pictures of the hole cap.

                            Regards

Don't take that one out. It is indeed a obvious Deschler design (M1/52).
