Totenkopf

Insignia looks OK to me. This style with the long bone was commonly worn by the SS, but not exclusively. There were many variations of this totenkopf, and most are unmarked. Probably worn by SS, but no way to actually tell. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to display it with SS items. There IS a version of this badge made by St.&L. that is RZM marked, so it was intended specifically for the SS, to be sure.

I have no doubts that it was worn by various Heer regiments, but this exact pattern and others similar were worn by all SS in the beginning.

A good price for what it is. Way less desirable than the 2nd pattern skulls (though many may disagree ... Robin ) but still a collectable piece.
