    Deutschland Officers flatwire cuff

    Hi Guys !

I'm considering a purchase of an Officer's Deutschland cuff title in flat wire gothic script. It has the paper tag on it , with the number 874 stamped onto it in ink. The cuff is mint. I have seen three with this paper tag with the 874 number on them for sale on the web. The reverse has the salt and pepper background with the protective strip of material over the wording.

The cuff also has 6 strand borders both tip and bottom.

    So, my questions are :

    (1) Who does the number 874 represent ?
    (2) Is it ok for these early cuffs specifically Deutschland flatwire gothic script versions to have 6 thread borders ?

    Comments would be appreciated !

    Best Regards

    P

      Hi Guys

Can anyone shed some light on the number on the RZM tag and the 6 strand border ?

      Regards

The number looks like 374? to me. If it's 374 the A4 maker was Lother Von Dreden & Co. GmbH of Wuppertal-Elberfeld who held an RZM permit from 1934 to 1944 without interuption.
