    SD Untersturmfuhrer Tunic

Reading the thread on the Obersturmbannfuhrer tunic has prompted me to post my grey SD Untersturmfuhrer tunic for comments.
It is of light weight cloth (Italian cloth?), no labels and has two belt ramps RZM stamped. The buttons are all SS, RZM, M5/55 stamped.
The cuff title has 7 strands. The piping on the collar is 'thin' as is the collar-patch piping. The shoulder boards are in Police green.
    Any commets would be welcome.

BTW....in the French Cuff there was a paper ticket dated 28.III.1939 in Czech(?) 'Koncertni Kavarna Passage' Vstupenka c. 62...maybe a tram ticket?

Wau! This tunic must belong to someone from Heydrich SS stuff, the ticket is for a concert in Prague ( kavarna means coffe shopp but at that time that was place where elite meats in cultural events ), stunning original SS SD tunic!

Its interesting that the shoulderboards do not have the secondary black backing material...but those things happened. Very nice!!!
Here's what a standard SD shoulderstrap would look like...

Exceptional tunic. I would like to get some SD officers insignias one day. Jacques

The SS sometimes supplemented thier insignias with regular Heer boards if no black backed ones were available or even if the tailor just decided to go with those because they were green and thats what the regs called for. Although they were sticklers for rules they seem to have not nit picked when it came to uniform insignias.

Just for info for people just reading this thread this common occurance has been discussed many times over the years in this SS forum. That is a hell of a tunic !
