    SS Visor cap insignia set

I've got an old 1960's era Alteste SS generals visor repro cap. While reading threads on the caps and insignia it seems that some of the insignia possibly were original. I'll post my cap insignia, hopefully you more seasoned members can tell me if the insignia and m43 size buttons have a chance of being real. I haven't removed the insignia from the cap, because if they're junk what's the sense. I don't have any SS insignia of my own to compare them to and after a while all the pictures start to look alike, at least to me anyway!
The skull is the 3 prong late war fold over version, and the eagle has 3 separately applied prongs on the rear of the eagle. I hope that makes sense. The buttons are unmarked, and I can't tell if the insignia are marked with them on the cap.
    Thanks for your help.

I will tell you the skull is a 3 prong integral which some believe late war period...most believe post war fake..the gurus will have to tell you on the eagle but i think it looks promising...Billbert

unmarked assmann eagle is 100 % correct , the 3 prong will remain in question for a l long time .......

3 pronged unmarked Assmann eagle is Ok, so is the skull, (but some guys don't think so)

The bottom line is you will never find a real period visor with that insignia (TK or Adler), people that own that insignia want it to be real but IMO it is fake. For some reason old fakes have a way of becoming "real" after a while....well for some people that is.......

'Problematic' would be the most positive word I would use about the 3 pronged skull ... I could think of many other less enthusiastic ones though. Take a good hard look at the 3 people who like them and it say's it all.

Didn't Bob Hritz come across an un-messed with original visor with one of these skulls, making a believer out of him?

I wasn't counting Bob Hritz in the rogue's gallery, however I'm sure he'd be the first to admitt we can all make mistakes.

                          3 Prongs

If 3 people believe in them, that's only one person per prong.

                              The eagle is unquestionably authentic!
