Original Italian army tunic upgraded with a reproduction Italian SS eagle. Some believe that particular style of Italian SS eagle is okay. I do not . I base my opinion on known good red eagles of that style which are definitely different in manufacture. Both black and red of that particular style you show were made in the late 70's and 80's by the bag full.


That said, I have not handled a good black one that mimics the accepted red ones.

It is possible that the black ones could be a bit different because all original photos of the black one in wear are bit blurry and without details.



Here is an absolute original red it is very close to the reproduction I showed you earlier , but the devil is in the details.

Thanks for the help Dennis, obviously a very difficult topic and not much known, so a bit too impossible to determine good from bad for me so I will bow out on this one. Thanks again or your time
