Because the flag in this thread is "woven" on white cord. The one at your picture is woven at black. But hard to say from your picture, because the verson you posted is of poor quality. Anyway: I've never seen them at white cord. But maby I wrong

The only "official" flag is the one in thick cotton with kaki backside.
This one seems to be a civil model.
But they are to be said have been in use by some norwegian SS soldiers.

Hi Rene.
Here you see the identical armflag in use by a soldier in "Pz. Gren. Rgt. "Norge".
IMO a unofficial type used by some Norwegian SS soldiers.

Hi Derek wonderful clear picture of the armflag being worn. It could very well be the unofficial type or maybe not regardless it gives some credence at least for me and to some extent confirmation that the weave style was certainly worn by Norwegian volunteers. By the way congrats to Mr. Hritz on a wonderful armflag now we need to see the whole tunic!
