I was wondering if the earliest models of the eagle as used by both the SA and SS have any differences at any time to discern them, or whether they were exactly the same? The only difference I could think of would be the manufactorer's numbers, and RZM v. Ges Gesch, but I was wondering if these pins were stamped with SS Runes sometime before the SS adopted the new pattern eagle in 1936

Yes, I believe both the large and small early eagles were used
interchangeably by all NSDAP affiliates. But if you see any cap eagles
stamped with SS runes, the red flags better be waving at full mast
that day.
